Waterville at a glance
Waterville is a city in southwest Lucas County along the Maumee River, upstream from Maumee. The 2020 census counted 6,003 residents. US 24, the Anthony Wayne Trail, runs through town toward Maumee and Toledo. State Route 64 connects north toward Whitehouse and Monclova.
Older streets sit close to the river and the small downtown. Newer subdivisions spread out from that core, including toward Monclova Township. A Waterville mailing address can be inside the city or in a nearby township, and taxes and services can differ.
Parks and water
Farnsworth Metropark runs along the Maumee at 8505 South River Road in Waterville. The Towpath Trail follows the old Miami and Erie Canal, and the park has fishing and paddling access. The river is the water here, not a Lake Erie frontage.
Schools
Anthony Wayne Local School District serves Waterville, Whitehouse, and Monclova Township, plus parts of nearby townships. Confirm the district for the exact address. This site does not rate or compare schools.
Prices
Single-family prices in ZIP 43566 have generally run above the combined Lucas and Wood county midpoint, in a similar range to Perrysburg. A ZIP median is not a value for one home or one street.
Good to check for any Waterville address
- Whether the address is inside the City of Waterville or in a neighboring township, since taxes and services can differ.
- The school district for the exact address. Anthony Wayne Local covers Waterville, but lines do not always follow the city limit.
- Recent sales on your street. River streets and newer subdivisions can sell in different ranges.
